CLASS ANNOUNCEMENTS:
1. Students are told to come in at recess and lunch to work on incomplete HW and classwork.
2. Unit 2 in ELA and Unit 3 in social studies will continue with lessons 2-4 this week.
3. Students will be given the Quarter 3 Clean Card permission form for Ice Palace. This form and money will be due by Friday 2/22. Only students with passing grades and acceptable behavior will be allowed to attend Clean Card. Students must maintain good behavior and grades even after turning in their permission forms and money to attend the Clean Card field trip in March.
4. Students will continue tracking the completion of iReady lessons this week. Students will be given credit for passing 2 lessons per week. iReady can only be worked on online and students are encouraged to work on this at home each week. Students are also allowed to come in at lunch to work on their iReady lessons if they need more time at school; otherwise, students are only given 30-45 minutes each week in class to work on iReady.
ELA:
1. Unit 2 Lessons 1-4 will be completed this week. Students will be discussing the topic of how author's purpose and perspective is conveyed in writing through word choice and point of view.
2. iReady lessons for Week 4 are due Wednesday 2/20. Students are required to pass 2 iReady lessons each week and fill out their Weekly Progress report to turn in for credit. Students should get their iReady weekly progress report SIGNED by a parent before turning in.
SOCIAL STUDIES:
1. Unit 3 lessons 2-4 will be completed this week. Students will be studying ancient Africa and how trade impacted west and north Africa.
